For the weather for the next few days click here Friday 13/7/18 A ridge of high pressure persists over the UK and Ireland on Friday although troughs will be affecting the west. There will be sunny spells and dry weather in the east and south. More western and northern areas will see showers developing, some of them heavy and thundery. Fewer showers in western Ireland and western Scotland. Cooling sea breezes on coasts. Temperatures at a hot 29C in southern England, 24C in western Scotland, 21C in northern Scotland.
Saturday 14/7/18 A ridge of high-pressure brings a mostly dry morning to much of England, Wales and Scotland. A front brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain into Ireland and western Scotland. The afternoon sees a few showers developing in central and eastern parts of England although western Scotland and Ireland stay rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain. Another hot day in central and southern England at 29C, but cooler in western Scotland and western Ireland at 17C.
Sunday 15/7/18 A weak front is expected to pass eastwards through the UK on Sunday bringing cloud and some mostly light outbreaks of rain with it to more northern and western areas. Bright and staying dry in England and Wales. Always cloudier to the west. Highs at 28C in southeast England, 17C in western Scotland and the far west of Ireland.
Monday 16/7/18 A more slack pressure flow through Monday. Scattered showers develop, but there will be some bright or sunny spells too. Detail is tricky to pin down at this stage. Highs at 19 to 27C.
Tuesday 17/7/18 The flow remains slack through Tuesday, perhaps generally north to northeasterly. There could be scattered afternoon showers developing, these heavy in places. Confidence in the detail remains low. Highs at 19 to 26C. Wednesday 18/7/18 Uncertainty ion how the forecast develops on Wednesday. There may be bright or sunny spells. However, some showers may develop. Highs at 19 to 26C.
