Gales and rain in northern Europe, fair in most of the Mediterranean Saturday Another mostly dry and fine day for Portugal and Spain though northwestern areas could see some light showers. Dry and bright too for the Balearics, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy on Saturday. Early showers easing for southern Greece to leave a fine day. A mixture of sunshine and showers for western Turkey. Windy and wet for northern and central France on Saturday morning, drying up for a time through the early afternoon before heavy rain moves into parts of Normandy and Brittany through the late afternoon. Wind and rain easing too for the Low Countries and Germany through the morning to leave a mixture of sunny spells and showers. Showery too for Switzerland and the Czech Republic but mostly dry elsewhere in central Europe. Another wet and windy day for Denmark while the Baltics will start windy too but dry before wintry showers develop in the early afternoon. A band of light snow will spread northward across Finland through the day on Saturday while it will a rather wet day for southern Sweden. Snow will spread north through Norway throughout the day.
Sunday Rain and cloud affects northern Spain and the northwest of Portugal. Central and southern Spain will be drier with sunny spells. More bright or sunny spells in the Balearics and across much of central nd southern England whilst there will be rain to the north. Greece and western Turkey will be dry with lots of sunshine, but showers affect Cyprus and eastern Turkey. Wind and rain in France, showers in the north and turning cooler here. Windy and wet in the Low Countries with rain and sleet. Wet and windy across Germany, again the rain will be heavy. Poland is windy with some rain in the north. Hungary should be dry and breezy. A few showers in Austria and rain with snow over high ground in Switzerland. Cloud and sleet for Denmark. Wind, drizzle and rainin the Baltic States. Winds and showers over Finland. Fine in central and northern parts of Sweden, cold here too. Wintry showers in the west and north of Norway.
