The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
South Central Oklahoma
North Central Texas
* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 615 PM
until 200 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Widespread large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
inches in diameter likely
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will form across the watch area early this
evening and spread eastward. Large hail and damaging winds are the
main threat, but there is some concern for a tornado or two along
the Red River valley.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles east of Ardmore
OK to 50 miles south southeast of Brownwood TX. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
