URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 80 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1125 PM CDT Wed Apr 17 2019 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southeast Kansas Southwest Missouri * Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1125 PM until 500 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...A fast-moving bow echo over northeast Oklahoma will track across the watch area overnight, posing a risk of locally damaging wind gusts and hail. A few brief tornadoes are also possible. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles west northwest of Joplin MO to 80 miles northeast of Springfield MO.
