URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 476 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 615 PM MDT Mon Jul 1 2019 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Eastern Montana Extreme northwestern North Dakota * Effective this Monday night from 615 PM until Midnight MDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Scattered severe storms in Montana, some with supercell structure, should persist for a few more hours while continuing to move generally eastward. Large hail will be the primary threat with these more discrete storms. There is still some potential for upscale growth with storm mergers across northeastern Montana, which would result in an increase in the damaging wind threat. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles east and west of a line from 70 miles north northeast of Wolf Point MT to 20 miles west southwest of Broadus MT.
