Mesoscale Discussion 1708
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0713 PM CDT Sun Aug 11 2019

Areas affected...northeast Colorado and western Nebraska

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 570...

Valid 120013Z - 120215Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 570
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe weather continues moving quickly eastward across WW
570, and will shift east of the watch in northwest Nebraska over the
next hour. A new WW may be needed.

DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows storms now accelerating
eastward across WW 570, moving into downstream Tornado Watch 572 in
southwest Nebraska/northwest Kansas and far northeast Colorado.
Farther north, storms will begin moving out of the watch across
northwest Nebraska. With risk for primarily damaging winds
potentially accompanying this convection as it exits the eastern
fringe of WW 572, a new WW, or WW extension in area, may be needed.
