Areas affected...Northern Ohio...Northwest Pennsylvania

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 309...

Valid 270435Z - 270630Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 309
continues.

SUMMARY...Thunderstorms should increase across the northern portions
of ww309 over the next few hours. Locally damaging winds remain the
primary threat.

DISCUSSION...Long-lived MCS that developed over WI has progressed
into southeast lower MI, extending west-southwest across northern
Indiana. Within this complex, an MCV appears to be embedded
northwest of DTW. Convection is strongest immediately ahead of this
feature where isolated severe winds continue. Additionally, strong
storms also arc southeast along a corridor of warm advection into
northeast OH. While much of the convective outflow associated along
the leading edge of this complex is less than 40kt, winds recently
gusted to 51kt at TOL. This portion of the squall line should
propagate across northern OH, along the south shore of Lake Erie
over the next few hours.
