Areas affected...Eastern New Mexico

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 408...

Valid 312348Z - 010145Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 408
continues.

SUMMARY...Isolated large hail and damaging wind gusts will be
possible into the early evening, particularly across northeast New
Mexico.

DISCUSSION...Over the past few hours, isolated splitting supercell
activity has been observed primarily within northern portions of WW
408. Continued development of storms is evident within the Sangre de
Cristo mountains. It remains possible that storms may congeal in
northeast New Mexico and pose a marginally higher threat for wind
gusts. However, without greater upper-level forcing, storm coverage
may remain too isolated for this to occur. The threat for isolated
large hail and damaging wind gusts is likely to continue into the
early evening before boundary layer cooling begins to diminish storm
intensity.
