Wednesday Wind and rain across northern Scotland will continue to ease on Wednesday. A building ridge of high pressure will give a largely dry day to many, although with low pressure close by to the west, spells of rain will spread across Ireland through the day reaching Northern Ireland later and will possibly affect Irish Sea coastal areas of northern Wales at times. Cloud thickening across England, Wales and Scotland through the day with the best of the sun for eastern parts of England and Scotland. High temperatures around 15 to 22C.
Wednesday Night Overnight it will be mostly cloudy across northern and western parts of the British Isles and rain will affect Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland before sppreading across central and southern Scotland and into northern Wales and northwest England through the early hours. There will also be a strengthening southeasterly wind in the west. Some clear spells across central and southern England and Wales and it should remain dry over the areas. Temperatures falling to 7 to 14C.
Thursday 30/07/20 A warm to very warm day is expected, particularly so across southern England. Largely cloudy skies across northern and western parts of the British Isles. Best of the sunshine in the south. Spells of rain will affect Ireland and Northern Ireland but should clear from the south with sunny spells developing. Scotland will see patchy rain spread northwards into central and northern parts through the day with southern areas largely drying up in the afternoon. A dry day elsewhere. Highs at a warm 18 to 25C.
Friday 31/07/20 With low pressure south of Iceland and high pressure over the North Sea on Friday there will be a very warm southeasterly wind blowing up through the UK and Ireland pushing those temperatures up. The afternoon will see the patchy rain move into northern Scotland while outbreaks of rain, possibly thundery and turning heavy at times, will push up from France and affect central southern counties of England before tracking east later on in the day and into the evening and overnight.
