URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 440 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 850 PM CDT Fri Aug 14 2020 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central Kansas * Effective this Friday night and Saturday morning from 850 PM until 100 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...A cluster of storms across north-central Kansas at mid-evening should continue to develop generally southward and continue to pose a large hail/isolated damaging wind gust threat through late evening. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles north and south of a line from 20 miles south southwest of Russell KS to 20 miles east northeast of Salina KS.
