URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 445 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 810 PM CDT Sun Aug 16 2020 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northern Kansas * Effective this Sunday night from 810 PM until Midnight CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...A southward-moving cluster of storms should continue to pose a severe hail/wind risk across parts of north-central/northeast Kansas. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles southwest of Concordia KS to 10 miles north of Manhattan KS.
