Areas affected...Maryland...Delaware...southeast
Pennsylvania...southern New Jersey

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 484...

Valid 030020Z - 030215Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 484
continues.

SUMMARY...Strong wind gusts remain possible across watch 484.

DISCUSSION...A line of storms has consolidated from southeast PA
into central MD, moving east at around 30 kt which is close to the
mean midlevel wind speeds as seen on the 00Z IAD sounding. Storms
are also currently near the instability axis of 1500 J/kg MLCAPE,
and thus should maintain intensity for an hour or two. While some
eastward-advection of instability is expected due to westerly 850 mb
winds, time of day will work against much destabilization across NJ
and DE where MLCAPE is less than 1000 J/kg.
