Morning Call: Some rain - Drier east, Oct 05 - 05:44

Staying generally unsettled with rain in places but also sunny spells and showers further east. This morning, a band of rain will mainly affect Wales, Northern Ireland, northern parts of Ireland as well as central and southwest England. Sunny spells and drier conditions expected further north and east but with some showers too. Breezy still in the west and southwest. This afternoon, the band of rain will push northeastwards across the UK and affect northwest England, west Scotland, Wales and central and southeast England. Elsewhere drier, with some sunny spells but also showers in the north and east still. Winds will strengthen along the southern English coasts. Overnight, the low pressure centres over Scotland pulling in showers or longer spells of rain across much of the western and southern half of the country on a brisk westerly to northwesterly wind. Scotland and northern England will also see some showers but with drier conditions in the east.
