Very warm in south-eastern Europe Tuesday High pressure extends across northern Iberia, France and northern-central Europe, bringing fair weather. Low pressure affects the central-western Mediterranean. Dry for much of Spain, although quite cool, highs 6C inland. Isolated snow flurries around the Pyrenees. Small risk of thundery showers clipping the southern Costas. Warmer for south-western Spain and Portugal at 13C. Slow moving areas of thundery rain affect Corsica, Sardinia and northern Italy. A strong, chilly wind for southern France. Dry for southern Italy, Sicily and the eastern Mediterranean, including Greece, highs topping 20C. Warm too around the Black Sea. Cold and frosty for northern France, the Low Countries, Germany and Poland - plenty of sunshine, some areas of low cloud and fog. Blustery across the Alps, with patchy snow. Scandinavia is largely dry and cold. Windy in Norway, and rain may spread into the west later.
Wednesday A front brings rain to north-western Spain and Portugal, setting in heavy later. Ahead of this, much of Iberia stays dry, with broken cloud and some sun, although it will be fairly cool. Areas of thundery rain continue for the central Mediterranean and Italy, spreading to Slovenia and Croatia. Southern Italy and Greece remain dry with some warm sunshine. Warm too in western Turkey. Chilly for central Europe, with some snow for the Alps, southern Germany and the Czech Republic. Dry overall for France, Belgium and the Netherlands, although fairly cloudy. High pressure resides over north-eastern Europe, bringing fine, chilly weather to the Baltic. Rain and mountain snow affects western Norway, but much of Scandinavia stays dry.
