An area of heavy rain lies from Sweden into Germany, eastern France and into the Balearics and the central Mediterranean. Showers are expected across western France. Heavy snowfall will fall across the Alps. Rain affects the far north of Italy, fair and dry across the rest of the country. Outbreaks of snow are expected across Norway and northern Russia while rain is likely across Finland. Fair and dry across The Baltic States, Belarus, Poland, the Czech Republic and much of the Adriatic Region and the Balkans into western Turkey. Cold across Turkey with light snow in the east. A fine, dry day to come across Portugal and Spain with sunny spells. Strong winds will also prevail through the Straits of Gibraltar and the central Mediterranean. A strong mistral will also affect southern France.
Monday Cold with heavy snow expected across Norway, northern Sweden,, Finland and northern Russia. Spells of rain to come across southern Sweden, Britain, Denmark, Germany and the Czech Republic. Lots of showers are likely across the Low Countries and France, but dry in the far south of France. Light rain will fall across Portugal with another fine, sunny day across Spain. Fine and dry eastward across the Balearics into Italy. Heavy showers to come in the central Mediterranean south of Italy and Greece. Some patchy rain may affect Croatia but chiefly fair and dry across the Adriatic and the Balkans. Lots of sunshine to come across Turkey, Romania and the Ukraine today. Strong south westerly gale will affect northern and eastern Europe. It continues windy in the central Mediterranean.
