A colder day with plenty of cloud, sleet and snow east Scotland Good morning, Get set for a chilly day ahead. It will be feeling colder than yesterday and you'll certainly need coasts and gloves. A mostly light southeasterly flow affects all areas and will bring plenty of cloud for many areas through today.
Some showery outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow over central and eastern parts of Scotland, perhaps more persistent over the Grampians where there could be several centimetres of snow. A few showers over central and eastern areas, although these will only be light.
Rain arrives in southern Ireland, Wales and southern England tonight with the winds increasing.
