A slow moving cold front affects western Iberia, producing prolonged falls of thundery rain. Dry in the east of Spain. A ridge of high pressure brings fair weather to western Mediterranean. A few thunderstorms around the northern Adriatic, spreading east across the Balkans into Romania. Fair weather for Greece, Turkey and Cyprus, and very warm, 25 to locally 30C. High pressure across north-western Europe brings settled weather to France, the Low Countries and Germany. Around 13 to 16C in north-central Europe, and 20 to 23C in southern France and northern Italy. Breezy for central and western France and the Alps. Low pressure over the Baltic brings sunshine and showers to Scandinavia, and strong winds for Denmark & southern Sweden. Chilly in northern Norway. A few showers northern Poland.
Wednesday Heavy rain and thunderstorms advance east across Spain during the early hours, leaving an unsettled day with showers spreading from the west across Iberia. The Mediterranean and surrounding countries stay dry with sunshine, although locally breezy around Italy. Very warm in south-east Europe. Windy across France, and a few outbreaks of rain will develop in the west. Most of central Europe remains dry, with plenty of sunshine for Germany and the Alps. Light winds and fair weather for Belgium and the Netherlands. Showers affect Poland, the Baltic states, and Finland, where a brisk north-westerly wind will make it feel cool. Fronts bring a little rain to western Norway, whilst southern Norway and most of Sweden will be dry.
