Heavy showers develop in the south, but rain for southern Scotland and Northern Ireland Good morning, A front is bringing some rain across Northern Ireland and southern Scotland this morning. That rain turning to snow over the hills of Scotland. Drier in northern Scotland with some bright or sunny spells.

Further south cloud is going to be broken. There will be some sunny spells and it should be mostly dry this morning. Showers are going to be developing into this afternoon, some heavy in central, eastern and southern England, the chance of the showers becoming thundery at times.

Tonight brings the rain into eastern and southern Scotland, again falling as snow on hills. The showers tending to fade further south.
