Risk a local shower Good morning, It's a murky start to the weekend for many areas, with low cloud and fog extending well inland from the North Sea. The cloud sheet will lift slowly through the day, and should increasingly break up from the north-east, perhaps giving sunshine along the east coast into the afternoon. Cloudy skies are likely persist in the Midlands, Wales & west.
Apart from early drizzle, most places will stay dry, but a humid atmosphere may trigger a few showers, risk of a local thunderstorm by afternoon in central areas, drifting west into Wales by evening. Light winds overall. Temperatures rising from 12-15C in the morning, to 18-20C, or locally 22-23C in brighter spells in afternoon. Have a great day. Garry
