There will be some showery rain during the weekend, and this then heralds the arrivale of low pressure over or close to the UK and Ireland next week. These will be passing eastwards during the day, with the most persistent rain in northwest England and western Scotland. heavy showers or longer spells of rain following into Ireland after the rain clears east. Highs near 15 to 21C.
Monday 13/6/16 Low pressure is expected to be over or close to the UK and Ireland on Monday. This brings a day of sunshine and showers. The showers could merge into longer spells of rain at times. It will be breezy to the south. Highs at 14C in northwest Scotland, 22C in southeast England.
Tuesday 14/6/16 The area of low pressure stays close by through Tuesday. This is likely to give another mixed day with sunshine and showers, some of them heavy and prolonged as well as thundery. Highs at 15 to 19C.
Wednesday 15/6/16 Low pressure is probably going to drift across the UK on Wednesday. It brings further showers, these turning heavy and thundery during the day, especially on the hills. Tops at 14 to 19C.
Thursday 16/6/16 Low pressure is expected to be over the UK and Ireland again on Thursday. This brings sunny spells and showers, a few of them heavy in the west. Tops near 16 to 18C. Friday 17/6/16 Friday sees low pressure overhead once again. Further sunshine and showers are likely, again some of them heavy. Tops at 14 to 19C.
