Week ahead: A summery week ahead - Becoming very warm, Aug 28 - 10:07

Settled and dry for most areas This week sees temperatures again increasing as it turns very warm to hot in the south. There will be some rain in the north, but high pressure is expected to give lots of fine weather to much of the United Kingdom. For the weather for the next few days click here Wednesday 31/08/16 A windy day in the north. Expect occasional showers for Scotland and Northern Ireland. For England and Wales it continues and mostly sunny. Another warm day but temperatures nearer normal in the north. Expect high temperatures of 16 to 24C.

Thursday 01/09/16 Today sees little change with a few showers for western parts of Scotland. The remainder of the Britain stays dry with long sunny spells. Warmest temperatures again are across the south. Highs of 17 to 23C.

Friday 02/09/16 Friday is very windy in the north as a front moves in from the west. An area of showers to affect the north and the west while central, eastern and southern parts of England stay fine, dry sunny and here it looks very warm. Highs of 19 to 26C.

Saturday 03/09/16 The warm weather continues across England. Showers are forecast for western and northern areas, perhaps a few may develop in the south in the afternoon. Rain may spread into northern Britain in the night. Highs of 19 to 25C.

Sunday 04/09/16 A front may bring some light rain to Scotland and Northern Ireland. England and Wales stay dry with sunny spells. Warm for most but potentially hot in the south. Highs of 19 to 24C. Monday 05/09/16 A very warm to lot day to come. All parts should be fine and dry with unbroken amounts of sunshine as an area of high pressure dominates the country. Expect highs of 20 to 29C.
