Morning Call: Mostly dry - Best sunshine in west, Jun 14 - 05:44

Gales this morning as rain passes east, brighter and drier this afternoon Good morning, Something we haven't experienced for a while in the UK and Ireland is strong winds; that's what we have this morning. Gales affecting many northern and western areas as a cold front passes east bringing a band of rain with it during the next few hours. The heaviest rain in northern and western Scotland. Brighter weather follows quickly from the west with some decent spells of sunshine for most this afternoon. The winds decreasing too. Showers tending to be affecting western Scotland and western Ireland.

Mostly dry tonight with clear spells. Some cloud and few showers affecting western coasts, most in western Ireland and western Scotland. Simon Email me at simon.keeling@weatheronline.co.uk
