UK Forecast: Isolated Showers. Otherwise Dry and Warm. - , Jul 12 - 09:07

Friday Friday will be another mainly dry for much of the UK with bright or sunny spells and while temperatures won't be quite as high as of late it will be another warm or very warm day, especially across England and Wales. There is now a greater risk of a few heavy showers developing through the afternoon across parts of Scotland and extending down into parts of N England and perhaps Wales as well. Local downpours possible in association with these. Highs 17C to 24C.

Friday Night Any showers ease away during Friday evening and then many areas will be dry overnight with clear spells and variable cloud. A cool night, especially in the countryside, less-so in towns and cities. Lows, 8C to 13C.

Saturday At the moment little change in the forecast into Saturday as fine weather is maintained across most areas with some bright or sunny spells at times too. Later in the day though and the first Atlantic weather systems for some considerable time are forecast to approach from the west to bring thicker cloud and some rain or showers into parts of SCotland and Ireland. Highs 18C to 26C.

Sunday Increasingly unsettled conditions, the first in many weeks for some areas, will continue to move into the UK off the N Atlantic as low pressure develops to the north-west. More northern and western areas are likely to be at risk of some rain or showers, but more central, southern and eastern areas of England could well maintain mainly dry conditions, with some sunshine, but also with increasingly cloudy weather. Still warm or very warm in the south-east, cooler elsewhere. Highs 16C to 25C.
