Rain in northern England and southern Scotland, drier and windy in southern England and Wales Good morning, And a very Merry Christmas! Father Christmas has had an easy night of it in the UK, it's been relatively mild, but there are some fog patches around. It's a murky and foggy Christmas morning for some, although there are some bright spells around too. Most fog is likely across the Midlands, East Anglia and southeast England. There's low cloud and fog afecting western coasts of the UK and Ireland too.
This afternoon continues with low cloud and drizzle on western coasts and hills. Further east the sun should be breaking through the cloud with some sunny spells developing. It may be that a few places stay misty and murky to the southeast.
Low cloud in northern and western areas with drizzle on the coasts and hills. Becoming cloudier through other areas with the threat of mist and fog patches in central and eastern England.
