Morning Call: Staying warm - Dry & bright for most, Feb 26 - 04:49

As high pressure continues to dominate it will be another warm, dry and bright day for most of us. Any early mist or fog patches should clear by lunchtime leaving a sunny afternoon. Good morning, Today will start rather chilly across the southern half of the country with some patchy fog and frost for many areas. It will feel milder over Scotland and Ireland where cloudier skies should keep temperatures above freezing.

Once any fog clears it will be a dry and bright morning for England and Wales. That brightness will spread into southern Scotland and eastern Ireland through the afternoon as cloud recedes to western fringes of Ireland and the far north of Scotland. High temperatures should reach double figures for most: 11C in northwest Scotland, 17 or 18C in East Anglia and across the southeast.

It will remain much the same through the evening: dry and bright for eastern Ireland, southern Scotland, Wales and England. Cloudy but staying dry elsewhere.

Have a good day! Claire
