Dry and mild next week but a risk of fog More mixed weather through this weekend as weak fronts bringing outbreaks of rain. High pressure is likely to be reasserting itself next week and that will bring dry weather and mostly mild conditions too. However, an increasing risk of fog through England, especially the east.
For the weather for the next few days click here Sunday 17/2/19 A cold front brings a band of rain through Ireland on Sunday morning. The rain then reaching western Scotland, western Wales and western England by late morning, before tracking across the rest of Scotland, northern, central and southern England as a much weakened feature in the afternoon. A drier and brighter start in central and eastern parts. Becoming windy in the west with brighter weather and some heavy showers following to Ireland. Highs at 10 to 13C.
Monday 18/2/19 Fronts edging slowly east on Monday. These bring a fair amount of cloud with them and some patchy outbreaks of rain in the west. A few showers in the west, brighter overall here. Highs near 8 to 11C.
Tuesday 19/2/19 A ridge of high pressure may build through the country on Tuesday. This allows for some morning mist and fog patches and perhaps an early frost. Most places should be fine once the mist and fog patches have clearer. Highs at 6 to 12C.
Wednesday 20/2/19 High pressure stays over the south and east of the UK on Wednesday. This brings a further risk of mist and fog patches, these lifting to leave dry conditions with sunny spells. The risk of some drizzle in northwest Scotland and western Ireland. Highs around 8 to 12C.
Thursday 21/2/19 High pressure may slip a little to the east on Thursday. This allows for more sunshine in the west. eastern areas may have some fog patches at first, these clearing to leave sunny spells. Highs at 6 to 11C. Friday 22/2/19 Mist and fog patches again in more eastern areas. These clear to leave broken cloud and sunny spells. Some rain may reach southern Ireland and southwest England. Drier elsewhere with some sunshine. Highs at 7 to 12C.
