UK Forecast: Less windy, brighter - Patchy rain in west, Apr 27 - 15:08

Sunday Outbreaks of patchy rain affecting East Anglia and parts of southeast England today, most of the rain patchy and light. as the day progresses eastern parts of Scotland and England are likely to become brighter with good spells of sunshine. More cloud in the west of the UK and through Ireland there will be more cloud with a few spots of rain over the hills here. Rather misty and murky. Highs at 11 to 15C with light winds.

Sunday Night Clearer skies in northern and eastern parts of the UK. A few showers may affect eastern England. Cloudier sies across Ireland and through Wales and southwest England. Some patchy rain with misty conditions extending through much of Ireland, the far southwest of Wales and southwest England. Lows at 4 to 7C.

Monday A ridge of high pressure building from the east through Monday. Good spells of sunshine developing, the best of these in northern and eastern areas. A chance of some scattered showers in central and southeastern parts. Fronts from southern Ireland to southwest England giving more cloud here with outbreaks of rain. Highs at 13 to 17C.

Tuesday A weak ridge of high pressure persists in the east of the UK through Tuesday. There will be dry weather and sunny spells here. Fronts to the west leading to increasing cloud with some outbreaks of rain across eastern and northern Ireland, western England, Wales and southwest Scotland. Some cloud shrouding the hills in western areas too. Highs at 14C in Ireland and Wales, more generally 17 to 20C for the brighter parts of England and Scotland.
