Morning Call: Cloudy, damp north & west - Brighter far west, May 01 - 05:44

More cloud than recent days for many, patchy rain and drizzle Good morning, A damp morning in much of the west of England, Wales and the west and southwest of Scotland. It's a murky here too with some hill fog, but not a lot of rain. Eastern areas of the country have more cloud than recently, a few brighter spells here and there as well. Better in Ireland with some sunny spells and mostly dry.

This afternoon sees the patchy rain extending from Scotland, through northern England, the Midlands and into southern and western England too. Wales stays damp and the rain, although light, may have a few moderate bursts as it continues eastwards. An odd spot of rain in possible in east Anglia and the southeast too. Ireland should be bright with sunny spells and just a few showers.

Bits of rain in the east tonight, but fair to the west with some clearer spells.
