Tending to turn drier again next week as higher pressure builds to the west. It should become drier with sunny spells and is likely to be feeling milder again after temperatures slip over the weekend.

The showers could be heavy and thundery at times as well as slow moving. A few bright spells between the showers. Temperatures rising to 13 to 19C.
Sunday 19/5/19 Low pressure remains on Sunday with a northeasterly breeze affecting most areas. Some bright spells but also showers developing. The showers could turn heavy and thundery at times. Cool in cloudier northern areas at 12 to 15C, warmer in the south at 17 to 20C.
Monday 20/5/19 Low pressure to the east of the UK with higher pressure building to the west. There will be a mix of sunny spells and showers in many areas, most of these affecting eastern coasts and hills. Drier in Ireland. Highs at 12C on eastern coasts but to 20C in southern England, more generally 16 to 18C.
Tuesday 21/5/19 A slack pressure flow on Tuesday. This brings some sunny spells but also allow for showers to develop. The showers tending to be scattered, although they could be thundery. Highs at 16 to 21C.
Wednesday 22/5/19 A ridge of high pressure building over the west of the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. This brings fair weather in the west, although some showers in the east. Highs at 16 to 22C. Thursday 23/5/19 Higher pressure remains on Thursday. There is a risk of further showers in the far east of the country. Some cloud and rain to the west. Sunny spells and dry for most. Highs at 16 to 22C.
