Drier toward east, mostly cloudy Good morning, A general southwesterly flow influences the British Isles, with various fronts passing eastwards today bringing extensive cloud and rain at times. Strongest winds typically across southern regions during the day, then a deepening Atlantic low moves into northwestern areas into the night bringing coastal gales and further heavy rain to northern areas.

Cloudy skies may break occasionally in the southeast. It will feel humid, and quite warm in any sunshine. Western regions of England and Wales generally covered in low cloud, rain and drizzle through the day. Heaviest rain over western hills. Today's top temperatures reaching 20 to 23C in central and eastern England, nearer 15 to 18C in the west and north, but cooler in heavier rain. Have a great day. Garry
