Damp and cloud in many areas, heaviest rain in Ireland, but drier northern Scotland It's going to be a damp morning across much of the far south of Ireland on Wednesday. Staying cloudy and damp too in Wales, central and southern England. Outbreaks of patchy rain and drizzle with mist too and some low cloud pon hills and coasts. Drier in Northern Ireland and Scotland as well as the far north of England. This afternoon stays cloudy and damp in central and southern parts of England, although the drizzle and rain should be easing. At the same time the rain becomes more persistent in western parts of Ireland. Showers develop in western Scotland and northwest England, although drier in the east. More persistent, sometimes heavy rain spreads through Ireland in the evening, then through Wales, northern England, central and southern Scotland to leave a wet night. Perhaps dry in the far south of England as well as the far north of Scotland.
