Cloud and rain or showers in the north, drier to the south and muggy Low pressure brings an unsettled and cloudy day to much of Scotland, northern England, Wales and Ireland. Rain this morning is likely to be most persistent in northern England and eastern Scotland. Showers in Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Drier, but cloudy in central and southern England. Muggy in the south too. This afternoon again sees some rain in northern England and parts of Wales, but still dry to the south. Scattered showers and brighter skies in northern England and Scotland as well as Ireland, some sunny spells here. Tonight becomes dry for many, just a scattering of showers here and there in the east.
