A windy day for western and southern parts of the British Isles with coastal gales. A wet day for Scotland, especially to the west, while most other areas see a mixture of sunny spells and showers. Rain tends to ease through the day but may persist over western Scotland and the northwest of England for longer. Staying breezy throughout the day for much of Ireland, Wales and England. Good Morning,
A windy start to the day across Ireland and the southern UK while northern and western areas see outbreaks of rain, these locally heavy over northwest Scotland. Winds reaching near gale force for the west coast of Ireland as well as Irish Sea coasts of England and Wales and over higher ground in the north of England where gusts could reach 60mph. Rain affects much of Scotland through Sunday morning and moves into Northern Ireland later while frequent showers also affect northwestern parts of England and Wales as well as much of western and central Ireland.
Outbreaks of rain and showers continue to affect northwestern areas into Sunday afternoon while conditions become drier and brighter over southern Ireland, Wales and southern and central parts of England. Some heavy bursts of rain still expected, especially over southwest Scotland and the northwest of England. Staying windy too with near gale force winds affecting western coastal regions. Gusts inland over northern England could still reach up to 45mph.
Showers and rain become less widespread into Sunday evening with many areas drying up. Western coasts of Scotland and northwestern parts of England could see drizzly rain persist into Sunday night however. Staying breezy for many, especially for western coastal areas and over higher ground.
Have a good day!
Claire
