Wet central and northern areas, drier in the south It's a wet morning through most of Ireland, western Scotland and northwest England . The far south of Ireland is going to be drier overall, although some low cloud and drizzle affects the coasts and hills. Drier in eastern and southern parts of the UK, some good spells of sunshine early this morning in southern areas. Rain through late morning and this afternoon across northern England and Scotland, as well as Wales and part os the Midlands. The far south of England will be dry with some good spells of sunshine. Dry in northern Scotland with sunny spells, dry on the coasts, although showers inland. Rain clears east overnight with drier weather following from the west. However, patchy rain continues to affect eastern parts of England.
