Areas affected...Southwestern SD...North-Central NE

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 352...

Valid 102331Z - 110130Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 352
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat will spread across southwestern SD into
north-central NE later this evening.

DISCUSSION...Long-lived cluster of severe thunderstorms that
developed over southeast MT has tracked across the Black Hills and
is moving southeast at roughly 30kt. Air mass ahead of this
convection is quite unstable along a corridor from south-central SD
into north-central NE. This activity appears to be aided by a
short-wave trough currently located along the MT/ND border. As
mid-level flow turns more northwesterly, convection across the
western Dakotas should begin to turn more southeast and propagate
along the aforementioned instability axis. It appears the leading
edge should approach Cherry County NE by 0130z. At that time, a new
watch may be needed to account for severe spreading into Nebraska.
