Areas affected...Southwestern NE...Western KS...OK Panhandle

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 404...

Valid 292309Z - 300045Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 404
continues.

SUMMARY...Isolated severe thunderstorms will continue across the
central High Plains.

DISCUSSION...Northwesterly flow is beginning to deepen across the
central High Plains as upstream short-wave trough advances east of
the Rockies. Isolated strong thunderstorms have evolved within the
trough from southwestern NE into western KS. This activity has
struggled to organize across this region, partly due to the lack of
significant low-level convergence and weak storm inflow. Even so,
isolated severe wind gusts remain possible as this activity
propagates south-southeast toward the eastern OK Panhandle.
