Morning Call: Rain north and west - Drier elsewhere, Aug 20 - 05:44

Rain clearing to the north to allow for a largely dry and fine day further south and east. Staying unsettled with rain in the west. A dry start for much of England and Wales. Rain over Scotland and Northern Ireland will clear from the south through the morning to allow for drier and brighter conditions to follow although with some showers developing. Outbreaks of rain across Ireland will push into Northern Ireland by the end of the morning. In the afternoon, rain will spread across Wales, northern and southwest England while eastern and central southern areas should stay dry and fine. Rain will also spread eastward across Scotland however the far east should remain dry. Staying wet across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Staying unsettled with outbreaks of rain across Ireland and Northern Ireland through the evening. The rain will spread north and east across Scotland and Wales and into western parts of England overnight. Elsewhere, it will be mainly dry with clear spells. A muggy night in the southeast.
