Morning Call: Some rain - Largely cloudy, Aug 05 - 05:44

Wet with rain across northern and western areas. Much cloud elsewhere with the best of any sunshine in the southeast. Rain will spread northeastwards across Ireland and Northern Ireland during the morning. Patchy rain confined to southern Scotland first thing will become widespread across the country. Largely dry elsewhere but rather a lot of cloud about, however, expect patchy rain across northern England, more so in the northwest. The best of the sunshine in the southeast of England. This afternoon, rain will clear from the southwest of Ireland with sunny spells developing, and track eastwards across Scotland, affecting mainly southern and eastern areas by the end of the day. Spells of rain will also affect western sides of England as well as Wales. Central southern England and eastern regions will stay mainly dry with sunny spells. Overnight, rain in the north and west will move into more central and eastern areas of the UK before gradually clearing off over the North Sea. Mostly dry conditions will come about thereafter and through the early hours of Thursday, although expect some patchy light rain and drizzle across southern and western parts.
