Hot again in the south and southeast. Showers mainly in the north to start could become more widespread across western regions. A wet start for much of Scotland, particularly so across northern areas, before clearing from the west with some sunny spells developing behind. Elsewhere across the UK through the morning, many places will see plenty of dry conditions, just with a few scattered showers about. Largely dry across Northern Ireland and Ireland. Through the afternoon, largely dry across Scotland but showers developing in the Borders. Widespread showers will spread up from the Channel and become heavy and potentially thundery across southern England as well as Wales. Showers also expected across northern England. Dry conditions with sunny spells elsewhere over England. Hot in the south and southeast. A small risk of showers developing across northern parts of Ireland. Overnight, showers continuing to affect Wales, some heavy and thundery, much of England too although eastern regions look to stay largely dry with exception to the southeast. Largely dry with some clear spells over Scotland, however, the south and southwest could see showers develop later. Remaining largely dry across Ireland and Northern Ireland but with the risk of some showers along eastern coasts. Warm and muggy still in the southeast of England.
