A drier and cooler weekend before turning more mixed with milder temperatures next week High pressure builds over the UK this weekend allowing for largely dry and fine weather. Next week more mixed conditions will return with rain at times, mainly in the north and west. Drier further south and east. Tuesday 01/09/20 Low pressure to the northwest of the UK sends a weak, eastward-tracking front across the UK on Tuesday. This brings patchy outbreaks of rain over much of Scotland, eastern Ireland, Wales and northwestern and southwestern parts of England. A brighter day for western Ireland and Northern Ireland though there will also be occasional showers here. Staying dry but rather cloudy for central and eastern parts of England. Highs at 14 to 19C.
Wednesday 02/09/20 A largely dry and bright start to the day on Wednesday for England and Wales. Cloudier further north and west with heavy outbreaks of rain for much of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland through the morning. Breezy here too. During the afternoon outbreaks of rain also spread into northern and western parts of England and Wales. Staying dry but increasingly cloudy further south and east. Becoming milder too with highs at 15 to 21C.
Thursday 03/09/20 Another breezy day on Thursday with low pressure to the north of the UK. A brisk westerly flow brings bright conditions for most areas and also frequent showers for western parts of the UK and Ireland. Showers fade over southwestern areas through the afternoon but persist further north. High temperatures range from 17 to 22C. Friday 04/09/20 A weakening front brings patchy outbreaks of rain to southern Ireland, Wales and central and northern portions of England on Friday. High pressure builds from the west behind this bringing increasingly dry and bright weather to Ireland and Northern Ireland. Breezy to the north with frequent showers for western areas. Highs at 15 to 21C.
Saturday 05/09/20 A ridge of higher pressure builds in from the west on Saturday bringing a drier day for most. Rain clears from south Wales and southeastern portions of England throughout the day as drier, brighter weather spreads from the west. Occasional showers affect northern areas. Highs range from 14 to 20C. Sunday 06/09/20 High pressure centred west of Ireland continues to extend a ridge across the British Isles into Sunday bringing a mostly dry and fine day. Occasional showers may affect western areas to the north where there may also be some cloud at times. High temperatures at 13 to 21C.
