Morning Call: Cold and breezy - Showers west & eas, Sep 25 - 05:44

Cool, unsettled and breezy with showers over eastern and western coasts and hills Get ready for a much colder day ahead with a strong north to north-west wind affecting all parts of the British Isles. There will be clouds and some showers over eastern coast with the risk of the winds reaching gale force. Further showers affecting western coast of Scotland and the north and west coast of Wales. Little change this afternoon with the best sunshine across many central and western areas of the country, cloud affecting the east with some showers on the coast. They will again be some showers in west Wales and west of Scotland, although Ireland should become dry with good prolonged spells of sunshine here. Still feeling cold in the wind. Overnight it remains chilly and the winds are strong again along eastern coast. Generally dry for most areas with some clear spells but always more cloud in western island where there will be rain at times.
