Chilly, particularly in the north and east. Largely dry and sunny but showery rain affecting the east. It starts cold, a touch of ground frost in sheltered areas with exception to the southeast as low pressure sits just off of southeast England bringing outbreaks of rain to East Anglia and the far southeast tip of England. Windy here too. Some showers still up some eastern coasts of England, but generally a dry and fine morning with plenty of sunny spells elsewhere but feeling chilly or cold. The afternoon will see similar conditions although showers along eastern coasts should ease off slightly as well as the rain across East Anglia and the southeast tip. Winds will still be brisk and chilly feeling here though. Dry with plenty of sunshine still elsewhere. Overnight, any rain lingering in the southeast will become confined to the coasts as well as showers contining up eastern coasts of England. Dry with clear spells elsewhere allowing for a cold night ahead for many.
