Morning Call: Heavy rain western Scotland - Dry and fine for many, Sep 13 - 05:44

It's a dry and fine day for many across the UK and Ireland today. A wetter day for western and northern parts of Scotland however as a front brings some locally very heavy and persistent outbreaks of rain here. Rain becomes increasingly confined to the far north of Scotland through the day as dry and sunny conditions spread from the southeast. Good Morning,

A dry and increasingly sunny start to the day across England, Wales and Ireland as cloud is pushed back towards the northwest. Cloudier, wetter and windier for Scotland and Northern Ireland as a front brings further outbreaks of rain into western and northern parts of Scotland. This locally very heavy. Patchy drizzle and light rain may affect parts of Northern Ireland at times.

Through the afternoon, rain becomes increasingly confined to northern parts of Scotland and the Orkney Islands while skies brighten over Northern Ireland and southern Scotland. Continuing dry and sunny for England, Wales and Ireland. A cool day to the northwest of Scotland with highs of just 12 to 14C here. Milder elsewhere with highs of 17 to 25C.

Rain becomes further confined to the far north of Scotland and the Northern Isles through Sunday evening as dry and sunny conditions spread further north over central Scotland.

Have a good day!

Claire
