Morning Call: Cold, best sun west - Patchy rain in east, Oct 13 - 05:44

Cold with showers in the east, drier in the west where there will be good spells of sunshine Another cold day for all areas. Western parts of the country will have the best of the sunshine, but more cloud always in the east. Some rain this morning in central and eastern Scotland, a few spots of rain too in East Anglia and southeast England. One or two showers could affect Wales too. Drier with the best sunshine in Ireland and in the west of Scotland. Becoming increasing windy in eastern Scotland. By this afternoon the rain will be slipping south into the far north of England. A further area of rain in East Anglia and the southeast. A few showers over Wales and southwest England too. Fair in western parts of Scotland and through much of Ireland although there is a low risk of a shower here. Overnight there will be further rain in the far northeast of England and southeast Scotland. A few spots of showery rain in the southeast too. Scattered showers in eastern Ireland. Fair and dry for other areas with clear spells in western Ireland and western Scotland.
