Morning Call: Cool but dry for most - Isolated showers, Oct 11 - 05:44

Chilly northerly breeze Good morning, A cool northerly wind affects Britain, strongest in eastern areas, but easing from the west as a brief ridge of high pressure builds. Sunshine and well broken cloud for many places through the day. A few local showers for North Sea coasts, also west Wales for a time, but these fading. Snow flurries for the Cairngorm mountains.

Fronts over the Atlantic will encroach into Ireland then western Britain into the evening and night, bringing thickening cloud and increasingly persistent rain. Today's top temperatures reaching 11 to 14C, warmest in central-southern England. Have a great day. Garry
