Rain and showers, breezy and cool for all An unsettled day ahead courtesy of low pressure over Scotland. You'll need a brolly almost anywhere as bands of showers or longer spells of rain pass eastwards. Most of the showers this morning in Ireland, Wales, northern England and southern England. Drier, although cloudy in central and eastern parts of Scotland. Some brighter spells between the showers and feeling cool in the wind. This afternoon becomes brighter with sunny spells for many. There wil be a scattering of showers, most in western and southern areas. A further area of showers affecting northern parts of Scotland. The showers continuing to fall as longer spells of rain in northwest Ireland. Staying cool. Tonight sees more showers in the northwest, but eastern and southern areas are likely to be staying drier.
