Rain affecting the north and west. Staying dry but cloudy in the south and southeast. This morning it will be cloudy and wet for Scotland, parts of northern England, Ireland and Northern Ireland with rain sweeping through here, heavy and persistent at times. Rain pushing in to western parts of Wales too. Dry but cloudy elsewhere. This afternoon it will continue to be wet across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland, rain still heavy in places. Lighter rain spreading across much of Wales as well as northern and central parts of England. Further south and southeast will stay dry but cloudy. Overnight, staying wet and cloudy across the north and west with rain here, heavy in places still. Rain, although generally light and patchy, will gradually spread from west to east across southern England. Parts of the far east could stay dry throughout once again. A mild night.
