Morning Call: Largely dry - Some pesky showers, Oct 16 - 05:44

Plenty of dry conditions but with some pesky showers about in places. A touch of frost first thing this morning in parts of central Scotland. With a northeasterly flow over the UK and Ireland expect showers and again down eastern coasts pushing inland in places, showers also spreading through southern and southeast England too. Best of the sunshine in the west. This afternoon, cloud is likely to become more extensive across the country, particularly in the north. Best of any sunshine still in the west and far south. A few showers about still and some of these reaching into western areas. This evening and the first part of the night, scattered showers affecting mainly eastern coasts of northern England and Scotland. Rather a lot of cloud about but some clear spells too, best of these in the south and west. Emphasis on showers shifting more across Northern Ireland, southwest England and parts of north and west Wales later on in the night as well as down eastern coasts and over northern Scotland.
