Morning Call: Largely grey and wet - Brighter further west, Oct 12 - 05:44

A band of rain spreads eastwards although expect sunny spells and showers behind in the north and west. This morning, it will be cloudy for all while rain spreads eastwards across Scotland, Wales and into northern and western England. Dry further east. Sunny spells but also showers as well as a fresh northwesterly wind developing across Ireland, Northern Ireland adnwestern Scotland behind the rain. This afternoon, rain will become persistent across parts of England and will spread into southeastern areas by mid to late afternoon. An improving scene across Wales and southwest England later on in the day. Sunshine and showers expected in the north, once rain clears, and in the west still. Overnight, cloud and rain affecting eastern parts of England. Clear spells elsewhere but with showers about too. A brisk north to northeasterly wind in the north and west.
