Today Rain, some of it heavy at times across much of eastern and southern England this morning. The rain area will be slowly clearing from the south ito this afternoon with a few brighter spells developing. Further showery outbreaks of rain in northern England and parts of north and western Wales with little change this afternoon. More persistent rain into southwest England and southern and central parts of Wales later this afternoon.A further area of rain in western and central Scotland. Drier east and south. A few showers in western Ireland too Scotland. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, but a mild 17C in southern England.
Tonight Becoming dry across many parts of central, eastern and southern England and Wales. Western Wales and the south of Scotland as well as Northwest England will have rain or showers, some of them heavy. Scattered showers in northern and north eastern Scotland. Much of Ireland should stay dry. Lows near 7 to 10C.
Thursday A small area of low pressure brings periods of rain to northern England and southern Scotland on Thursday. Elsewhere there will be a few showers across England and Wales but it should get brighter during the day with some bright or sunny intervals developing. A dry day in Ireland with sunny intervals here and brighter, drier weather should also affect western Scotland. Just a scattering of showers in north-east and Scotland. Highs at a chilly 8 to 11C in the north and west, but still mild at 17C in the southeast.
Friday Fronts will be passing eastwards on Friday bringing rain to Ireland and western UK during the morning. This rain then edges eastwards into the afternoon to be across northern, central and southern England. Brighter weather follows into Ireland although there will be some showers in the west. East Anglia and the south-east may stay dry until mid afternoon. A breezy day for all. Highs at 0C in northern Scotland, 14C in southeast England.
